The North Queensland Panning Championships 2011.
Gold Panning Championships (Saturday August 13) This year the NQMA has elected to provide the panning dishes for all events to ensure all competitors are equal. Every dish has the same dimensions. The first event of the day which will be the Specialty Panning will allow competitors to use any pan they choose. In all other events competitors must use only the NQMA dish.

The Panning competition was once again held at the Heritage Centre in Mareeba on the 13th August 2011.

This championship is one of the major events conducted by the NQMA during each year.

This years event was bigger than ever with participants and spectators alike enjoying beautiful weather and heated competition!

With record entries this year, many events had to be split into two heats!
